While we encourage all students to engage in and contribute to the school and wider community, we seek to identify and support those students with leadership potential. Leadership can be expressed both formally, through the assumption of leadership positions and informally, through projects, activities or events. While leadership is encouraged at every stage of development and through a range of programs and events, there are specific leadership positions that form part of the structure of the school, namely:
- School Captains
- School Vice Captains
- Sports Captains
- SRC (Student Representative Council) Representatives
- Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) Team
- Student Environment Team
- Peer Mediators
- Kindergarten Buddies
Student Representative Council (SRC)
The Student Representative Council membership includes School Captains, Vice Captains from Year 6 and students from Years 2–6 who have been elected by their peers to represent them at a school executive level. The SRC is an integral part of the decision making process of the school. The SRC assists the school in promoting positive relationships in the school community and plays an important part in creating an environment that raises the confidence and self-esteem of every student in the school.
