Our school provides opportunities for students, staff and parents to know and celebrate their Catholic faith. This is done through the religious life of our school. Members of our community experience a rich liturgical and prayer life, celebration of the Sacraments, faith formation, social outreach activities, and opportunities to share faith with each other and with youth from other schools in the Archdiocese.
Students of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Primary School Kingsgrove attend whole school celebrations each term, which include Catholic Schools Week, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, Grandparent’s Day, and our own OLF Feast Day Masses. These celebrations bring the community together in praise and worship, connecting us to our shared faith tradition.
Weekly class Masses also occur and the students participate in liturgies. These are also opportunities to learn more about our Catholic faith.
Year 6 participates in a retreat day to spend time reflecting on their faith, spirituality, and leadership, and our Year 5 students participate in the Liturgy of the Word program, which engages them in proclaiming the sacred Scriptures in preparation for Sunday Masses. These experiences call upon our senior students to start animating their faith, living out the Gospel message in a personal and more public manner.
